BRAINARDSVILLE — Jason J. Sorrell, 25, of State Route 374, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 in Brainardsville.
Born in Plattsburgh on April 15, 1987, he was the son of Jennifer Supley Jacques and James Sorrell.
Jason worked as a mechanic and handyman. He loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family, especially his daughter.
Jason is survived by his daughter, Bailee Sorrell; mother and father, Jennifer and Dennis Jacques of Brainardsville; father, James Sorrell of Brushton; a brother, Jesse Sorrell of Brainardsville; grandparents, Marsha and Ronald Thompson of Brainardsville, Abbie Sorrell of Lyon Mountain; aunts and uncles, Jessica and Jeffrey Bowling of Fort Campbell, Ky., Barbara Sorrell, Robert Sorrell Jr., William Sorrell, Bonnie and Jerry Relation, Peter Sorrell; cousins, John Anson and Riley Bowling; several aunts; uncles and cousins; many good friends, including Eric O'Neil, who was like a brother.
He was predeceased by his grandfathers,, John "Pierre" Supley and Robert Sorrell; maternal great-grandparents, Everett and Martha Willis.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11 at Chateaugay Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12 in St. Bernard's Church with Rev. Ted Crosby officiating.
