Lucy S. Wisher Hill MCMillan

MECHANICVILLE — Lucy S. Wisher Hill MCMillan, 94, entered into her eternal rest, Sunday, January 6th, at St. Mary's Hospital, Troy. She was born September 24, 1918, in AuSable Forks, NY the daughter of the late John and Sufrina Soulier Wisher. She was the widow of Thomas M. Hill Sr. who passed away in 1958 and Henry Sinclere McMillan who passed away in 2003. Henry and Lucy were married September 17, 1993.

Lucy was raised and attended schools in AuSable forks and prior to moving to the Capital District area worked at the J. J. Rogers Paper Mill. In this area she was employed at Montgomery Ward & Co. and the Veteran's Administration as a Vital Statistical Clerk. She was a July 28th, 1939 graduate of the Albany Business College.

Mrs. McMillan was a devout member of the All Saints on the Hudson South (formerly St. Paul's). She was a very active member who loved life at the Mechanicville Area Senior Center. She was also an honorary lifetime member of the Mechanicville Senior Center. She loved her family and friends, enjoyed life and was a friendly, caring, sharing person who lived by the motto "tomorrow sill be a better day". Lucy enjoyed garage sales, reading the tabloids, taking casino trips, playing Pollyanna,senior aerobics and her flowers and gardening.

She is survived by her children Gretchen (the Late George) Koper, Mechanicvile, Thomas M. Hill Jr,Troy, NY, and Diane M. Antolick, Mechanicville. She was predeceased by a son John M. Hill. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 8 great- grandchildren, and 3 great-great-great-grandchildren. She was the last of a large family that included her late siblings Harold, Russell, Agnes, and Hank

Her funeral will be Wednesday at noon at the All Saints on the Hudson South (formerly St. Paul's). Relatives and friends are invited and may extend their respects to the family at the T. L. Cassidy Funeral Home, 126 N. Second Avenue, Mechanicville, also on Wednesday morning from 9 to 11 o,clock. Entombment will be in the Assumption-St. Paul Cemetery Mausoleum.

Lucy's family has respectfully requested that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the charity of one's choice
