Mary Mazurowski

CROWN POINT — Mary N. Mazurowski, a beloved resident of Ironville in the Town of Crown Point passed away unexpectedly Jan. 6, 2013, surrounded by her family at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vt.

Mary was born in Crown Point, N.Y., on Aug. 15, 1926, to the late John and Katherine Nels.

Mary's greatest pride in life was having her family surrounding her on Old Furnace Road. Her favorite past time was keeping an eye on the neighborhood! For many generations, there was never a time when any family in time of heartache or hardship did not receive some act of kindness from her, most notably her "homemade donuts."

Survivors include her loving husband and best friend of 25 years, Charles of Crown Point; sons, Eugene (Peanut) and Terry Ingleston of Crown Point, John Ingleston of Crown Point; and daughter, Marlene and Kevin Gadway of Crown Point. She is also survived by three stepchildren, Linda (George) Mitchell, Steve (Julie) Mazurowski and Paul (Kathy) Mazurowski; three grandchildren, Jennifer and Michael Rafferty, Eric and Jodie Ingleston, Kevin Gadway and Morgan Jordan all of Crown Point; seven stepgrandchildren, Cheryl Allin, Joseph Dugan, Robert Dugan, Sarah Eppenbaugh, Jessica Mazurowski, Leilah Mazurowski, and Nicole Mazurowski. She is also survived by one great-granddaughter, Rylee Rafferty and seven step great-grandchildren; a brother, Benjamin Nels of Liverpool, N.Y., and a sister, Anna Wojewodzic of Port Henry, N.Y., and many special nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Eugene Ingleston Sr.; son, Stanley (Bubby) Ingleston; grandson, Benjamin (Benji) Ingleston; and five brothers, Frank, Walter, Joseph, John and Stanley Nels; and also her beloved dog, "Bear."

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Sacred Heart Church in Crown Point or the American dogrescue.com.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, at the Harland Funeral Home in Port Henry. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10 at Sacred Heart Church in Crown Point. Burial will be in the spring at the Ironville Cemetery.
