STUART, Fla. — Thelma Mousseau Couture, 84, passed away on Oct. 7, 2012, at her residence in Stuart, Fla. Born in Plattsburgh, N.Y., Mrs. Couture had previously lived in Plattsburgh, N.Y. before moving to the Martin County area 36 years.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church. Mrs. Couture was also a member of the American Legion, VFW, and the Moose Lodge.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Lytton of Hobe Sound, Fla.; daughter, Sherri Golden of Palm City, Fla.; son, William Mousseau of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; brother, Earl Desrocher of Fort Pierce, Fla.; sister, June Venne of Saranac, N.Y.; sister, Cathy Miller of Stuart, Fla.; sister, Arlene St. John of Stuart, Fla.; nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Couture was predeceased by her husband, Renald Couture, and her daughter, Pamela Mousseau Rock.
Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart, Fla. Memorial Contributions may be made in her honor to Alzheimer's Association
