JOHNSON CITY, TENN. — Catherine Barnard Marquis, 87, died peacefully in her sleep Jan. 7, 2013, at Broadmore Senior Living in Johnson City, Tenn. A Plattsburgh native born to Roma and Anna Barnard of Plattsburgh, she was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Dave Marquis who was a graduate and former faculty member of SUNY Plattsburgh.
She is survived by her children Eugene Marquis of Cincinnati, Judy Moore of Bradenton Fla., Annamarie Bolyard of Elizabethton Tenn., seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A graduate of OLVA, ''Kitty'' as her friends called her, worked at Pratt and Whitney during WW2. While raising a family, she eventually became a special ed. teacher. Cathy and Dave retired in Bradenton, Fla. where they both enjoyed many years helping raise their grandchildren.
They came from and have left a legacy of love that is still felt and passed down through the generations.
