ALTONA — James Exford King II, 51 of 356 Irona Road, Altona, passed away on Dec. 27, 2012, at his home with his wife by his side. He was born in Two Harbors Minnesota on April 13, 1961, the only son of James Exford King I, and Barbara O'Donnell King.
Jim loved to spend time with his wife and family, remodeling his home, tinkering with antique tractors, small engines, motor vehicles and reading.
Jim graduated from Northern Adirondack High School and CV Tech in 1979. He then worked for several car dealerships in the course of 20+ years prior to becoming a NYS Licensed Security Guard and working with MSR Security for the past 7 years.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy; his daughters, Jamie Willette and her companion, Bill Stranahan and Jessica King and her fiance Ruben Rafalco; his two step-sons, Nathan Boutin and Christopher Boutin and his companion, Jessica Doyle; Eight grandchildren, Jacob King, Ethan Willette, Emma, Ryley and Ryenn Rafalco, Hailley and Rayna Boutin, Billy and Hannah Stranahan and Liz LaDuke; One sister, Sylvia King-Biondo and her husband, John Biondo; and his niece, Courtney Mitchell; his mother-in-law, Shirley Jarvis; his brother-in-laws, Jeff Jarvis and his companion, Elaine Standerbelt and children, Jarod and Marisol Jarvis and their child, Mykaela and Brittney and Nathan Faubert and their child, Brysen, Randy Jarvis and his wife Cindy and their children, Taylor and Tyler, Robin and Nichole Jarvis; and very special friends, Shawn Rabideau, Joe and Peggy Barnaby and Tina Pinney.
Jim was predeceased by his mother and father, Barbara and James King, his father-in-law, Homer Jarvis and brother-in-law, Ricky Jarvis.
Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31, at the Brown Funeral Home, 3123 Miner Farm Road in Altona. A reception will follow at the Altona Fire Department.
