ELLENBURG — Viola King of the Star Rd., Ellenburg Center died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at CVPH Medical Center, Plattsburgh, NY. Born in Dover Plains, N.Y., she was the daughter of Harrison and Mary (McIntyre) Grey. She was married to Paul King on Oct. 19, 1969, in Dover Plains, N.Y.
Mrs. King is survived by her husband of 43 years; two sons & a daughter-in-law, John Schoonmaker of Ellenburg Center, Robert and Doris Schoonmaker of Ellenburg Center;
six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother & sister-in-law Vincent & Theresa Grey of Utica; a special nephew William Patnode of Ellenburg Center.
She was predeceased by her parents; granddaughter, Lisa Schoonmaker; great-grandson, Joseph W. Avis Jr.; sister, Helen Knapp, and brother, Arthur Grey.
There are no calling hours. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 16, in St. Edmund's Church with Rev. Ted Crosby officiating.
The family would like to say thank you to the 5th floor nursing staff who took great care of Viola and a big thank you to Dr. Pelton.
