ORMSTOWN, Quebec — Paul E. Boucher, 87, of Ormstown, Quebec formerly of Chazy Lake, N.Y., passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, with loving family by his side. He was born in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan, on March 15, 1925, the son of Aldege and Gracia (Dureault) Boucher.
He was married to Helen Thibodeau on Aug. 12, 1947, in Newcastle, New Brunswick, Canada. She predeceased him on Jan. 3, 2004.
Paul was employed at International Harvester, Montreal until his retirement in 1984. He enjoyed most of all family gatherings. He was a communicant of St. Bernard's Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Holy Family 7215, Lyon Mountain, N.Y. He is survived by a son, Paul R. Boucher Jr. of Montreal, Quebec; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Viviane Boucher of Montreal, Quebec, Diane and Gerald Barber of Chazy Lake, Denise and Edward Ashline of Chazy Lake, Cynthia and Mark DuBrey of Plattsburgh; five sisters Leonette, Cecile, Madeleine, Aline, and Jeannin; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Louis Boucher, Natalie Najarian, Philipe Najarian, Joshua Barber, Peter Ashline, Brandon Barber, Britany DuBrey, Kaley DuBrey and Alizza Relation.
Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his parents; a daughter, Caroline Boucher; granddaughter, Stephanie Boucher; five brothers, Maurice, Roland, Marcel, Rene, and Alin Boucher; three sisters, Lilliane, Yvette and Therese.
Calling hours will be held at St. Bernard's Parish Center, Lyon Mountain from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 10, in St. Bernard's Church, Lyon Mountain with Rev. Ted Crosby officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
Donations in his memory may be made to Lyon Mountain Rescue Squad or St. Bernard's Church.
