ELLENBURG CENTER — Russell J. Moore, 75, of Ellenburg Center passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at his home with his family.
He was born May 3, 1937, in Ellenburg Center, the son of Charles and Elizabeth (Delong) Moore. He was a Journeyman Lineman for the I.B.E.W. Local Union 1249. He enjoyed hunting.
Russell was predeceased by his parents; three brothers, Charles Moore, Floyd Moore and Claude Moore; one sister, Helen Moore; two nephews, Darrell Moore and David Moore.
Survivors include his wife, Doreen Moore of Ellenburg Center whom he married Jan. 16, 1965; three sons, Kenneth Moore and his wife Darcy of Ellenburg Center, Kevin Moore and his wife Kim of Clifton Park, N.Y., Kyle Moore and his wife Angela of Virginia Beach and Ellenburg; three grandchildren, Kelby Moore, Krrynn Moore and Keagan Moore; one sister in law, Leona Moore and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at the Ross Funeral Home in Ellenburg Depot.
A Funeral service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12 at the United Methodist Church in Ellenburg Center.
Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Ellenburg Center.
Donations may be made in Memory of Russell to Hospice of the North Country or the Adirondack Humane Society.
A reception will follow the funeral services at the Ellenburg Center Fire Station.
