PLATTSBURGH — Mr. Anthony R. Settevendemio, 77, of Montcalm Avenue in Plattsburgh, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at home with his family by his side and under the care of Hospice of the North Country.
He was born in Clinton, Mass. on July 31, 1935, the son of the late Antonio and Edith (Dalesandro) Settevendemio.
He served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1954 to 1960 and later was employed by the City of Plattsburgh Public Works Department for many years until his retirement. He was an avid lifelong Red Sox fan.
He is survived by his wife, Marion (Baldwin) Settevendemio; his children and their spouses, Michael and Betsy Settevendemio of Peru, Roger and Patty Girouard of Rome, N.Y., Sandy and Bryant Meseck of Champlain; his grandchildren, Kerry and Kevin Voltner, Joel Settevendemio, Jennifer and Frank LaPlante, Andrew and Erin Settevendemio; three great-grandchildren, Kendal, Joshua and Sadie; and several nieces and nephews. Three sisters and two brothers passed away earlier.
In accordance with Anthony's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 26, in the Brown Funeral Home chapel.
