RIVERVIEW — Mr. Dale Raymond Roberts, 63, of River Road in Riverview, passed away Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012 at his home.
He was born in Plattsburgh on June 14, 1949, the son of Raymond and Rita (Liberty) Roberts. Dale served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed as an iron worker for Local 158 for many years. He was a member of American Legion Post 1618 in Redford and was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman.
He is survived by a son and daughter in law, Daryl and
Tharron Roberts of Saranac Lake; a daughter and son in law, Denise and Brandon Drapeau of Morrisonville; his mother, Rita Roberts of Plattsburgh; his siblings, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Scott and Lisa Roberts of Ogdensburg, Rick and Barb Roberts of Saranac; six sisters and five brothers- in-law, Sharon and Allan Wood of Saranac, Judy Lamora of Plattsburgh, Jacqueline and James Collins of West Chazy, Gayle and Darrell Bottoms of Plattsburgh, Donna and Neil Darrah of Plattsburgh, Karen and Michael Brannen of Plattsburgh; six grandchildren, Thomas, Katie, Brady and Alexa Roberts, Trevor and Anna Drapeau; several aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. His father, Raymond Roberts passed away in 1992.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. in Plattsburgh. Funeral services and military honors will follow at 4 p.m. in the Brown Funeral Home chapel. A gathering will follow at 218 Porter Road in Morrisonville.
