Sandra Stearns Thomas (sandi)

BEREA, K.Y. — Sandra Stearns Thomas (Sandi) passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012. Sandi was born in Plattsburgh N.Y., June 10, 1945 to the late Florence Harding Stearns.

Sandi is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, James Richard Thomas. Her mother, Florence Harding Stearns, brother William (bill) Stearns, brother in-law Arthur Fresn. Sandi is survived by her children. Jimmy Thomas Jr., and Leigh Ann and Tom Mosier, Sandi and Jim's precious grandchildren, Kaleigh, Kaleb and Kara Mosier. Also surviving is her sister Florence Fresn, brothers James Stearns, and Richard and Carol Stearns, sister in-law Betty Abby Stearns, and good family friends Mr and Mrs Rodney Rivers.

In memory of Sandi donations can be made to American Cancer Society.

    HERKIMER — Russell A. LaFontaine, 91, of Herkimer and formerly of Champlain, N.Y., passed away peacefully Thursday, Feb. 15, 2013, in the Folts Home, Inc., Herkimer, with his family by his side. He was born Dec. 22, 1921, in Champlain, the son of the late Emmett and Elsie (Allard) LaFontaine and was educated in Champlain schools. Russell served in the United States Army during World War II. He married the former Leona Dupee. Mrs. LaFontaine passed away in 1989.
