PLATTSBURGH — Mr. Thomas J. Weatherwax, 72, of Delor Street in Plattsburgh, passed away Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh. He was born in Plattsburgh on Dec. 15, 1939, son of the late George and Catherine (Cook) Weatherwax.
Thomas is survived by his children, Gwen May of Harlingen, Texas, James R. Weatherwax and his wife, Pamela of Hornell, Denise Ward and her husband, Raymond of Hope Mills, N.C.; four sisters, Jane Arena of Plattsburgh, Pearl Weatherwax of Plattsburgh, Pauline Provost and her husband, Arnold "Petty" of West Chazy, Lorraine Gload and her husband, Raymond of Charlotte, N.C.; 10 grandchildren, William May, Deanna May, Keliena Weatherwax, Destany Weatherwax, Kaveri Weatherwax, Raymond Ward, Kayla Ward and John Ward, Tyler DeHullu, Nicole Powell; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, at the Heald Funeral Home, 48 Court St., Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the Heald Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at a later date in St. Peter's Cemetery.
Donations in Thomas' memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
