No paltry poultry here

MALONE — See the best in regional poultry and cattle at the Franklin County Fair today.

It’s Children’s Day, too, so midway prices are reduced for kids until 5 p.m.

The fair runs through Sunday.

Here’s a look at highlights coming up:

TODAY

7 a.m.: English Horse Show (outside arena).

9 a.m.: 4-H Cloverbud Fitting and Presentation Colored Breeds Cattle Show.

9:30 a.m.: 4-H Youth Showmanship and Conformation Colored Breeds Cattle Show.

10 a.m.: Poultry Show.

11 a.m.: Rooster Crowing Contest.

6 p.m.: Demolition Derby finals; admission, $10.

TUESDAY

8 a.m.: 4-H Mini Horse and Driving Show (outside arena).

9 a.m.: Colored Breeds Cattle Show (inside arena).

10 a.m.: Poultry Show.

11 a.m.: Rooster Crowing Contest.

Noon to 3 p.m.: YMCA Franklin County has Talent contest eliminations (inside arena).

1 p.m.: Quack Up contest.

5 p.m.: Sheep Herding Show (inside arena).

7:30 p.m.: Satisfaction, the International Rolling Stones Show; admission, $10.

WEDNESDAY

5 to 9 a.m.: Colored breed cattle released.

8 a.m.: Western Horse Show (outside arena).

10 a.m.: Poultry Show.

11 a.m.: Rooster Crowing Contest.

1 p.m.: Harness racing.

2 p.m.: Harness racing under saddle.

6 p.m.: Horse Show (inside arena).

7:30 p.m.: Rhonda Vincent & the Rage; admission, $10.
