PLATTSBURGH — An Essex man is accused of driving drunk with a child in the vehicle.
Plattsburgh-based State Police arrested Brock J. Reynolds, 32, at 11:13 p.m. Friday on Interstate 87 in the Town of Plattsburgh.
Reynolds was pulled over for failing to stay in the right lane, police said, and was found to be intoxicated with his 11-year-old son in the vehicle.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor; aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child, a felony; and failure to keep right on a two-lane road, an infraction.
Reynolds was released on a ticket to appear in Town Court on Thursday.
SARANAC LAKE — A Saranac Lake teen was arrested Friday in connection with stolen property.
Saranac Lake Police obtained a warrant for the arrest of Chad D. Mott, 13, after investigating an incident in which Mott allegedly took credit cards and personal possessions from another individual's home.
Mott was taken into custody at 10:14 p.m. and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and fourth-degree grand larceny, both felonies.
He was arraigned in Village Court and remanded to Franklin County Jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
Mott is scheduled to reappear in court at a later date.
PLATTSBURGH — A Plattsburgh man was arrested Sunday for allegedly violating the terms of his probation.
Clarence W. Rock II, 22, was taken into custody by Clinton County Sheriffs at 12:15 a.m. after Clinton County Court Judge McGill issued a violation-of-probation warrant for his arrest.
In December 2011, Rock was sentenced in County Court to six months in jail followed by 10 years probation after pleading guilty to third-degree rape.
He was arrested last month by Plattsburgh-based State Police for allegedly having a woman's car towed from a parking lot and selling it for scrap metal without her approval.
At that time, he was charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property and first-degree falsification of business records, both felonies.
Following his arrest on Sunday, Rock was remanded to County Jail pending further court action.
LAKE PLACID — Six men from other parts of the state were arrested Saturday in connection with an alleged gang assault.
Perry S. Gusikoff, 46, of Lagrangeville; Bernhard K. Obry, 47, of New Paltz; Steve Bhawanidin, 29, of Queens Village; Warren Downer, 51, of Hollis; Anand Sahadeo, 29, of the Bronx; and Chitrohan Bhola, 47, of the Bronx are accused of assaulting a 55-year-old male victim outside a local business on Main Street at 11:25 p.m. Friday.
According to Lake Placid Police, the incident began as a civil dispute and escalated into a physical altercation,during which the defendants caused serious injuries to the victim, whose name has not been released.
Immediately following the incident, the victim was transported to Adirondack medical Center in Lake Placid.
The defendants were arrested at noon and each charged with second-degree gang assault and second-degree assault, both felonies.
They were remanded to Essex County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond each.
No further information was available Sunday.
PLATTSBURGH — a Plattsburgh man was arrested early Sunday for drunken driving.
Plattsburgh-based State Police said Thomas W. Remaley, 43, was turning from the Moffitt Road onto State Route 9 in the Town of Plattsburgh when he drove into the wrong lane at approximately 1:15 a.m.
Remaley was subsequently pulled over, according to police, and refused to take a breathalyzer.
He was arrested at 1:28 a.m. and charged with felony driving while intoxicated for having two previous convictions within the past 10 years and felony aggravated driving while intoxicated for having a blood-alcohol content of 0.18 or higher.
Remaley was also charged with failure to keep right and refusal to take a breath test, both infractions.
He was released to a third party and is scheduled to appear Thursday in Town Court.
