LAFAVE - A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Oratory in Churubusco for Ida Mae Lafave, 83, of Ellenburg, who passed away Nov. 24 at her home. Rev. Ted Crosby, Pastor, celebrated the Mass. The pallbearers were her grandchildren, Andrew McGill, Jordan Lafave, Karen Lafave, Naomi Desrochers, Nicole Goodrow and Jennifer Lafave. The funeral pall was placed by Ida's children, Grace Griffin, James Lafave, Rose Lafave and Marshall Lafave. Ida's daughter, Lucy Wood, placed the rosary on the casket. The crucifix was placed by Ida's son, George Lafave. The altar server was her grandson, Kenneth Nichols. Ida's daughter, Eve McGill; and granddaughter, Lori LaPrad, read from the scripture. Her sons, Wesley Lafave and Russell Lafave, presented the gifts. Entombment followed in Whispering Maples Mausoleum, where Father Ted Crosby recited committal prayers. Arrangements were in the care of the Ross Funeral Home, 5059 Route 11, Ellenburg Depot.
