WOOD - A memorial Mass for Charles F. "Chuck" Wood, 63, of the Wilson Road, Saranac, was celebrated Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption in Redford. Chuck died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of the North Country. Rev. Donald F. Kramberg, parish pastor, celebrated. Eucharistic Minister was Joseph Pellerin. Musician was nephew, Paul Liberty. The crucifix was placed by grandchildren, Andrew and Allison Cutaiar. Reader was sister-in-law, Anna Lucia. Words of remembrance were offered by Scott Cutaiar. The Eucharistic gifts were presented by sister, Christine Wilson, and niece, Shana Hamel. Pallbearers were Ed Dubrey, Craig Favaro, Bill Siskavich, Mickey Vann, and Gregg Wood. The NYS flag presentation and military honors followed the Mass. A gathering followed at the American Legion Post 1618 in Saranac. Donations in his memory may be made to the Autism Alliance of Northeastern NY, P.O. Box 1884, Plattsburgh, NY 12901, or the North Country Cancer Fund, 484 Wallace Hill Road, Plattsburgh, NY, 12901. Arrangements were in the care of the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru.
