ADAMS - A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at St. Augustine's Church in Peru for Gertrude S. Adams, 87, of Peru. Gertrude died Friday, Jan. 11, at Fletcher Allen Healthcare in Burlington, Vt. Rev. Alan D. Shnob, parish pastor, celebrated. Altar servers were Allen Dixon, Larry Ewald, and Peter Keenan. Organist was Lynn Wilke. The Pall was placed by Nicky Bodenrader, Katie LePage, and Christopher LePage. The Bible was placed by Jamie Church. The Crucifix was placed by Ashley Brenckle. Readers were Jonathan Orsborn, and David LePage. The Eucharistic gifts were presented by Melissa Howse, and Robin Pieri. Words of remembrance were offered by Sharon Jennings, Sara Anzuoni, David LePage, and Jay LePage. Pallbearers were Joseph Bodenrader, Raymond Durant, Lawrence Jennings, Brian Light, Robert Light, and James Orsborn. Committal prayers and burial followed in the parish cemetery. A gathering followed in the St. Augustine's Church Parish Center. Donations in her memory may be made to the North Country Regional Traumatic Brain Injury Center, Beaumont Hall Suite 404, SUNY Plattsburgh, and 101 Broad Street, Plattsburgh, NY 12901.
