Inmates from Adirondack Correctional Facility in Ray Brook and community volunteers cut from Pontiac Bay for the Saranac Lake Winter Carnval Ice Palace. Although warm weather had threatened the project, construction is on track. The carnival runs Feb. 3 to 12. This year's theme is "Space Alien Invasion."
