Assemblywoman Janet Duprey (R-Peru) announced she will support the same-sex marriage legislation. In 2007 she voted against the same-sex marriage bill, but in a recent press release she said she was deeply moved by letters calls and e-mails from constituents, and was moved the most by the parents of homosexual children who expressed their desire to see their gay and/or lesbian children share the same benefits with their partners as their heterosexual siblings do with their spouses.
