Rustic Furniture Fair coming up
BLUE MOUNTAIN LAKE — The Adirondack Museum is hosting the 25th-annual Rustic Furniture Fair from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9.
Renowned artisans from throughout the United States will showcase and sell their one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture, furnishings and artwork. Demonstrations of furniture making and painting will also take place throughout the weekend, along with a number of other activities.
Visitors interested in an early buying opportunity can visit from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8. Tickets will be available at the door or can be purchased now at http://is.gd/lPLJ2b.

Taste of the Adirondacks event planned
SARANAC LAKE — The Adirondack Green Circle is hosting “Chefs & Farmers: Taste of the Adirondacks” from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at the historic Union Depot railroad station here.
Chefs from premier area restaurants and catering companies will create a dish made with produce from local farms. For a minimum of $1 per sample, attendees will have the opportunity to try some or all of the featured dishes. Beer and wine will also be available.
