Birthright sponsors Father’s Day carnation sale
PLATTSBURGH — Champlain Valley Birthright is sponsoring a Remember Father with a Carnation fundraiser to benefit the organization’s work with pregnant women, their babies and families.
On Saturday, June 16, and Sunday, June 17, area churches will have flowers available for $1 at their services.

Essex Community Church luncheon slated for June 20
ESSEX — The Annual Women’s Spring Luncheon will be held at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, at the Essex Community Church, across from the Lake Champlain Transportation ferry dock in Essex.
Linda Turner of Essex Junction, Vt., will speak about “Don’t Do It Half Way.” A salad lunch will be provided, and a free-will offering will be received.

Auditions for church-sponsored event scheduled
ALTONA — Auditions for the annual Altona’s Got Talent event will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 17, at Holy Angels Church Hall in Altona.
The show will take place at 6 p.m. Sunday, June 24, as part of the Old Home Day celebration, held to benefit Holy Angels Church.
All contestants must be at auditions.

Vacation Bible School to be
held in Willsboro
WILLSBORO — The Willsboro/Essex Vacation Bible School will be held Monday, June 25, thru Friday, June 29, from 9 a.m. until noon at the Willsboro Methodist Church.
The theme is “Operation Overboard.” This program for children, ages 3 to 12, will include music, Bible stories, crafts, games and special snacks.
