Tickets to school play on sale

MALONE — Tickets are on sale for the Franklin Academy High School Players’ upcoming production of “Grease.”

Show times for the spring musical will be 7 p.m. March 14 and March 15; and 2 and 7 p.m. March 16. Tickets cost $9 each and can be purchased at the school’s Main Office.

CLINTONVILLE — Tickets to the AuSable Valley Players’ presentation of “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” are now on sale at the AuSable Valley Central School Box Office in the school’s lobby.

The production runs at 7:30 p.m. March 14, 15 and 16; and at 2 p.m. March 17. Reserved seating is available. Tickets cost $10 and can be purchased at the Box Office from 3 to 5 p.m.

Landscape in Watercolor class offered

MALONE — The Foothills ARTSociety is offering a Landscape in Watercolor workshop from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturdays, March 2 and 9, in the lower level of the Lashomb Insurance Building at 410 E. Main St.

Lynne Taylor will demonstrate different watercolor techniques and offer guidance in the creation of a landscape painting. Attendees should bring watercolor materials as well as photographs (preferably their own) for inspiration. A critique of work in progress will take place.

NCCCA planning ‘Tutus and Tiaras’ workshop

PLATTSBURGH — The North Country Cultural Center for the Arts is hosting an afternoon dance workshop in collaboration with the North Country Ballet Ensemble from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 9.

The program, called “Tutus and Tiaras,” is for dancers ages 4 through 7 years old. Each participant will create their own tutu and tiara and use their creations as they participate in a story ballet. The children can bring their final products home with them for use in other dance activities.

Alice Schonbek, artistic director of the Ballet Ensemble; Tracy Plimpton, Ballet Ensemble Board member and costume curator; and dancers will lead the workshop.

The cost is $10 and includes the price of all materials. Participants must preregister by calling the NCCCA at 563-1604.
