Do not identify yourself in the main content area of the article content form. Only by enforcing this rule can the moderators prevent unscrupulous commenters from falsely identifying themselves as someone they are not.

Don't type in all caps. It is considered the Internet equivalent of shouting.

In sports articles, do not criticize officiating.

Peru spoils Keswick's strong performance

PERU — Dalen Keswick's dominant day was not enough as Peru edged Plattsburgh High, 147-134.1, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Gymnastics on Friday.

Alexandra Brown helped the Indians to victory by scoring the second-highest all-around score of 31.1. Brown took first in the balance beam, tied for second in the vault and finished third in the bars.

Keswick, a Plattsburgh High junior, took first place in the vault, bars and floor exercise, which helped him to the top all-around score of 33.3. He set the school record in the vault with a 9.3.

Keswick doesn't normally compete in the balance beam but did so with teammate Emy Russell out. It was his first time competing in all around.

"He had an awesome night," PHS coach Janice Trudeau said.

Molly Lawliss finished third in the all-around scoring for the Indians (1-1).

She finished second in the floor exercise and grabbed a third-place finish on the balance beam.

Claire DeShaies finished fifth all around for the Hornets (0-3).
