Do not identify yourself in the main content area of the article content form. Only by enforcing this rule can the moderators prevent unscrupulous commenters from falsely identifying themselves as someone they are not.

Don't type in all caps. It is considered the Internet equivalent of shouting.

In sports articles, do not criticize officiating.

Eagles win close gymnastics meet

PLATTSBURGH — Beekmantown's Alyssa Leonard and Plattsburgh's Dalen Keswick battled it out all night long, but in the end it was Leonard and the Eagles who came out on top, 158.05-148.10, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference gymnastics on Tuesday.

Leonard captured first in the beam (8.85) and the floor (9.3) while also taking the all-around (34.85) to lead the way for Beekmantown.

Keswick, meanwhile, took first in the vault (8.4) and the bars (8.75). He finished second in the all-around (32.10).

The Eagles had four of the top six finishers in the overall with Erica Leonard (third), Lydia Gricoski (fourth) and Brielle Cerne (fifth) joining alyssa Leonard.

Claire Deshaies took sixth in the overall for the Hornets.
