ELIZABETHTOWN — Brian Doyle claimed both the bass and pike divisions when the Elizabethtown Fish and Game Club held its third-annual fishing tournament Sunday on Lincoln Pond.
Doyle reeled in a 4-pound, 8-ounce bass, and second-place finisher Daniel Crean was not far behind with a catch weighing 4-7. Doyle won the pike division with a fish weighing 2-14 while Brian Huntson took second with a weight of 2-10.
George Vanhoesen hauled in a perch that measured 33.5 inches long to take first in that category.
More than 100 people participated, and in addition to local anglers, participants also came from the Plattsburgh and Albany areas. For those 15 and under, as well as in the perch division, their prowess was measured by the total lengths of the fish.
In addition, the 50/50 raffle winner was Savannah Bronson, and Trinity Dingman was the Early Bird winner.
