Winners listed in Carpenter golf tournament
PLATTSBURGH — The Wells Fargo team won the A Division with a 67, Hockey Plus 2 the B Division with a 64 and the Lake Placid Club the C Division with a 64 in the Annual Larry and Harry Carpenter Memorial Golf Tournament held Friday, May 25 at The Barracks Golf Course. Proceeds from the event went to the Seton Catholic Booster Club.
Individual awards included Chris Erickson (7th hole) and Kevin Branon (12th hole) closest to the pin for the men, Kathy O’Connor (4th hole) and Katelyn Mockry (16th hole) closest to the pin for the women, Brian Desso closest to the line for the men and Katelyn Mockry closest to the line for the women. Team Murnane won the only skin in the tournament and donated the winnings to the booster club.
Bluff Point junior program to begin Monday
PLATTSBURGH — The Bluff Point Junior Golf Program will begin on Monday, June 25 and continues for six weeks. Participants are asked to report to the practice range at 9 a.m.

PSU hockey to hold alumni weekend
PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh State University men’s hockey team is having its Bi-Annual Alumni Hockey weekend on July 13 and 14. Three new members — Nik Sundberg, Bryan Murray and Chris Panek — will be inducted into the Plattsburgh State Hall of Fame. There will also be a golf tournament on Saturday afternoon, July 14, at Bluff Point Golf Resort.
Youth soccer teams finish first in Vermont
STRATTON, Vt. — The Plattsburgh FC U14 boys, U14 girls, and U10 girls all won their respective divisions last weekend in the 15th-annual Green Mountain Challenge soccer tournament.
The PFC U14 boys won all 4 games, beating Wethersfield (CT) 7-0, Essex United (VT) 7-1, Rotterdam (NY) 3-2, and Madison (CT) 1-0.

Brunell memorial baseball tourney July 7
ALTONA — The Fourth-Annual Terry Brunell Memorial Baseball Tournament, for peewee boys, will be held July 7 at Feinberg Park.
This event is a fundraiser that provides for the recreational fields and youth in Altona as well as funding a scholarship at Northern Adirondack Central High School.
There is no entry fee. There will be a concession, shirt sales, raffle tickets and 50/50s.
