B'town bowlers get victories

BEEKMANTOWN — Cody Watts rolled a 660 series that included a game of 224 to help the Beekmantown boys defeat Peru, 9-1, Tuesday in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference bowling.

Ryan Douglas tossed three games above 200 for a 653 set, and Matt Corrow had a 236 game and a 648 series.

Kyle Mendofik paced Peru with a 600 series, and Cody Boudrieau added a 246 game.

Taylor Lavalley led the Beekmantown girls to a 3-1 victory by rolling 191-201-244-636. Katie Reed had a 233 game.

Peru's Brittany Bushey had a team-high 213 game.

PLATTSBURGH — Wayne Cowan rolled a 221 game and 589 series to lead the Chateaugay boys' bowling team to a nonleague win over the Hornets.

Devin LaBarre rolled a 471 triple, and Ryan Doulia added a 456 for the Bulldogs.

Josh Shaffer paced Plattsburgh High with a 507 series.

The Plattsburgh High girls' team swept Chateaugay.

The Hornets were led by Allison Beebie, who had a 210 game and a 561 triple.

Shaniah Scott had a 499 series for Chateaugay.
