NCAA hockey tickets available
LAKE PLACID — Tickets for the NCAA Division III Men's Frozen Four tournament are available through the Olympic Center Box Office, located at 2634 Main St., Lake Placid (Phone: 523-3330).
Ticket prices are $13 for Jr./Sr./Group single-day session, $16 for Adult single-day session, $20 for Jr./Sr./Group all-session and $27 for Adult all session. Section 24 is the designated area for Plattsburgh fans.
Malone Moose softball sign-up this week
MALONE — The Malone Moose Softball League will hold registration for ages 14-19 Tuesday, Wednesday and Monday, March 22, from 6-8 p.m. at Holy Family School. Proof of age is required.
These will be the only signup dates. The fee is $35 per person and covers insurance and equipment. Anyone from outlying towns who would like to play may call Cindy Brown at 483-0096 for details.
Jr. Cards reach final four, lose in semis
BINGHAMTON — The Jr. Cardinals battled their way into the Tier II Squirt State Final Four Saturday night beating the Niagra Jr. Purple Eagles, 6-3, but lost in the semifinals to Tonawanda. Tonawanda went on to win the Tier II Squirt State Championship Sunday night.
Saturday, Christian Thomas opened the scoring for the Cards with his first of two goals. Gavin Giroux tied the score at two early in the second on an assist from Chase Bedore. Kurtis Olsen then got back-to-back unassisted goals late in the period to help the Cards pull away from the Eagles. Thomas added his second goal in the third and JB Chapin put the game out of reach with a late goal of his own.
Demong places 10th at King's Cup
OSLO, Norway — After long ago having locked up the World Cup overall title, Jason Lamy Chappuis of France closed up the season with a win as he took home the King's Cup at Holmenkollen in Norway on Sunday. Olympic gold medalist Billy Demong (Vermontville) led the way for the U.S. finishing 10th.
Demong led the U.S. in the jumping round at 11th but was 1:16 back. Todd Lodwick jumped to 15th with a 1:23 time differential, and Johnny Spillane marked 41st at 2:32 back.

Ameri-Can North schedule announced
PLATTSBURGH — This week's public skating at Ameri-Can North will be held Tuesday-Thursday from 4-5 p.m. Stick and puck for those days will be held from 5-6:30 p.m.
Friday, stick and puck will be held from 5-6 p.m. Saturday, public skating will be from 2-3 p.m., with stick and puck 3-4:30 p.m. Sunday, stick and puck will be held from noon-1 p.m. and public skating from 1-2:30 p.m.
