MALONE — The regular season in the Malone Adult Basketball League drew to a close Saturday, but not without a few surprises for the final week.
The biggest occurred when Trim's Lawn Care knocked off Chateaugay Bowl 104-95, dashing The Bowl's hopes for a perfect season. Trim's shot 24 for 37 from the field the first half to open a 61-37 lead at the break.
That left Niles Asset Management the only unbeaten team for the season. Niles defeated Mr. Bob's 52-44 to finish 15-0 in the Women's Division. Cristi LaClair had a big night, scoring 23 points and grabbing 15 rebounds.
P & M wrapped up the Black & Blue Division title with a 67-53 win over second-place PAPAS Dairy.
Tom Pickering pumped in 40 points to lead Smith Towing to a 97-80 triumph over Fellas in a game featuring 79 3-point attempoints. Pickering nailed eight treys while Cory Monette and Curtis Langlois had 20-20 doubles for Smith's. Austin Martin netted 33 for Fellas.
Seven & All avoided a winless season by downing King Clark Insurance 55-43 in the Black & Blue.
