WEST PLATTSBURGH — Legion Post 1619 won three games this past week to take a one-half game lead over Labatt Blue Light Lime in the A Division of the Adirondack Slo-Pitch Softball League.
The Legion defeated U First (11-8) and Geoffrey's Pub (5-2) before ending the week with Friday's 19-5 victory over J & M Snacks/Recore Enterprises to improve to 31-3 on the season.
Labatt Blue Light Lime, at 30-3, kept pace by defeating S & S Monitor Heating Systems (11-9) and a 21-9 victory over U First on Friday.
Big Earl's/Plattsburgh Bass Club, 28-4, is two games out of first place, but just one game in the loss column.
The B Division race continues to be a close one, with five teams separated by 2.5 games.
The Young Guns/Legion Post 1618 and Leroux Fuels are tied for first place with 20-13 records.
The Young Guns/Post 1619 posted a 10-6 win over the Bandag Brewers, while Leroux Fuels recorded a 13-4 victory over Dragoon's Farm Equipment and then outlasted Ron Hoy Construction/Buck's Discount, 17-16, on Friday.
The Bandag Brewers are in third place, 1.5 games off the pace, at 18-14. Trim's Boys leads the C Division with a 16-16 record, with C.V. Fitness/Esposito & Sons Valley Cats in second, 4.5 games off the pace at 12-21.
