PERU — Peru won three matches by pin and two others by technical fall Saturday in a 52-21 victory over Saranac in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference wrestling.
The CVAC-champion Indians are 17-1 overall and finished 8-0 in the league.
Adam Stickle (145), Kyle Lovejoy (152) and Jacob Goddeau (103) recorded pins for Peru, while Patrick Hogan (125) and Troy Seymour (130) won by technical fall.
Alex Pugh (119) and Brandon Moore (160) won by decision for the Indians, with Pugh edging out a 3-2 victory over Trevor Goddeau in the first match of the day. Peru also won three matches by forfeit.
Ryan Guynup (140) had a pin for the Chiefs, while Nate Wood (135), Ben Perry (189) and Brett Kiroy (285) recorded decisions. Cody McCasland (215) won by forfeit.
