---- — ADK Mountain Club to host ranger talk
PLATTSBURGH — The public is invited to join the Algonquin Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club Jan. 4 to hear DEC Backcountry Forest Ranger Jim Giglinto speak about “Backcountry Avalanche Awareness.”
As a high peaks ranger, Giglinto will discuss some factors influencing avalanches and their history in the Adirondack backcountry.
Giglinto’s program begins at 7 p.m. in the second floor auditorium of the Old Clinton County Courthouse on the corner of Margaret and Court streets.
A business meeting follows at 8 p.m.
Both the program and meeting are free.
