Don’t use profanity. This includes the term “tea bagger.”

Don’t be incendiary or tasteless. Those qualities are subjective, of course, and our editors will be the arbiters.

Do not identify yourself in the main content area of the article content form. Only by enforcing this rule can the moderators prevent unscrupulous commenters from falsely identifying themselves as someone they are not.

Don't type in all caps. It is considered the Internet equivalent of shouting.

In sports articles, do not criticize officiating.

McCormick, Provost help Pats defeat Indians

CLINTONVILLE — Emily McCormick and Alexis Provost both swam to four victories each Tuesday to lead AuSable Valley over Peru, 90-79, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls’ swimming.

McCormick took first in the 200 individual medley (2:42.88) and the 100 breaststroke (1:25.79). Provost was first in the 50 freestyle (28.49) and the 100 freestyle (1:03.82).

McCormick and Provost were part of the 200 medley relay team (2:15.58) with Tonie Cross and Lydia Brown.

Provost teamed with Megan Zmijewski, Cross and Emily Wood in the 400 relay (4:40.74), while McCormick, Cross, Wood and Brown captured first in the 200 relay (2:06.41).

Peru was paced by Mary Barkla, who finished first in the 500 freestyle (6:26.42) and the 100 backstroke (1:14.33).

PLATTSBURGH 131, MORIAH 37

PLATTSBURGH — The Hornets swept all 11 races to defeat the Vikings, led by Taylor Hall’s four-victory night.

Hall captured first place in the 500 freestyle (6:17.50) and the 200 individual medley (2:40.92).

She was also part of the 200 medley relay (2:10.94) with Amanda Leonard, Kelsey Primard and Sorensen, while also winning the 400 relay (4:20.45) with the same teammates.

Alexis Kelley took first in the 100 freestyle (1:00.29) and the 200 freestyle (2:13.22). Brooke Kelley captured the 50 freestyle (28.65) and the 100 backstroke (1:15.51).
