WEST PLATTSBURGH — The 7th-Annual Crab Island Memorial Golf Tournament, sponsored by American Legion Post 1619 and Michelob Ultra, will be held Saturday at The Barracks Golf Course.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. and a 9 a.m. shotgun start will follow. There will be raffles, barbeque chicken and pork dinner, with all the fixings, and awards to follow at Post 1619.
Any non-golfers wishing to attend the dinner can do so with a $10 donation at the door. All proceeds go to a full scholarship at Clinton Community College. Anyone wishing to volunteer for this event, either on the course or at the Post, can call 643-8587 or Post 1619, at 561-8706.

Michelob Sunday at Bluff Point
PLATTSBURGH — The Bluff Point Michelob Classic, sponsored by Plattsburgh Distributing and in memory of Ralph Fisher, will be held Sunday at the Bluff Point Golf Resort.

Mark Rabin golf tourney has openings
WESTPORT — The Seventh-Annual Mark Rabin Memorial Golf Tournament has a limited numbers of openings for teams or individuals. The tournament is scheduled for Wednesday, July 27, at the Westport Country Club.
Cost to play is $49.99, which includes golf, cart, dinner buffet, prizes for every team, and goofy hats. All golfers must register by Tuesday, July 19.
The Shumway Insurance Sledgehammer Putting Contest will begin at 10:30 a.m. with the tourney getting under way at 12:30 p.m. The dinner & awards ceremony will begin at 6:15 p.m. In addition, there will be a $5,000 hole-in-one prize on hole #9 (also sponsored by Shumway Insurance), with prizes for a hole-in-one on three other par-3 holes.
All proceeds from the event go to the Plattsburgh College Foundation to benefit students. Massena senior championship Aug. 10
MASSENA — The Northern New York Men's and Women's Senior Golf Championships will be held on Thursday, August 11 at the Massena Golf Club. Community Bank N.A. is sponsoring the event. There will be over $3,500 in prizes to be awarded to the net, gross and special prize winners. Last year, 170 golfers played in the tournament.
The tournament will be divided into six flight: ages 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75 and older. Prizes will be awarded to both net and gross winners.
There will be a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start and will include a dinner and awards ceremony at approximately 5:30 p.m. The entry fee includes the cart fee and is $47 for Massena Country Club members and $65 for non-members. If you would like to walk, the entry fee is $35 for members and $50 for non-members.

Finnegan memorial set for August 20
PORT KENT — The Keeseville Knights of Columbus will be hosting the 12th-Annual Jim Finnegan Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday, August 20 at Harmony Golf Club and Community. Finnegan was an avid supporter of local youth organizations and this tournament is designed to continue his dedication to improving the opportunities for area children.
The tourney is currently soliciting donations from friends and neighbors in the community in the form of monetary donations or a hole sponsorship of $50. Should you chose to sponsor a hole, your company name will be featured on a hole with mention of your sponsorship.

St. Joseph's tourney slated for Aug. 24
PLATTSBURGH — A golf tournament hosted, by St. Joseph's Catholic Church, will be held at 1 p.m. August 24 at The Barracks Golf Course. The format will be a four-person scramble, and cost is $55 for non-members and $45 for members.
The cost will cover golf, carts and prizes, and teams will save $5 per person if they register and pay by August 10. Checks can be made payable to St. Joseph's Catholic Church Renovation Fund.

YMCA/U First Credit Union tourney Aug. 26
PERU — The 10th-Annual Plattsburgh YMCA Golf Tournament, sponsored by U First Federal Credit Union, will be held on Friday, August 26 at Adirondack Golf & Country Club.
The format is a four-person scramble, with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Prizes will be awarded for low gross and low net scores. There are also hole-in-one, closest to the pin for men and women and longest drive for men and women.
Sponsors are still welcome and the entry fee for individuals is $60 for Adirondack members and $70 for non-members. It includes golf, cart, dinner. YMCA-style fun and prizes.
