KEENE — It was a day of firsts Monday for the Keene Central Beavers.
They scored their first goal of the season on their way to their first victory, 3-0, over the Willsboro Warriors in boys’ non-conference soccer action.
Willsboro outshot Keene 24-13, but keeper Colton Venner was up to the task, making 15 saves for the shutout. Freshman Justin Haverlack played a strong game on defense for the Beavers while Jack Van Wie was outstanding at sweeper.
Eli Smith scored the lone goal of the first half with Brandon Dumas and Gabe Warner adding insurance goals in the second half.
Brandon Porter turned in a solid performance for Willsboro.

LAKE PLACID 2, SETON CATHOLIC 1
LAKE PLACID — Nzoni Thompson’s goal eight minutes into the second half proved to be the game-winner as the Blue Bombers slipped past the Knights.
Shane McNierney got Lake Placid on the board in the first half with a goal, which was assisted by Andrew Meister.
Thompson then found the back of the net early in the second half to give the Blue Bombers a 2-0 lead.
Noah Osbourne tallied for Seton Catholic at the 25 minute mark, which brought the Knights to within one.
Chris Korzial picked up the victory with 10 saves for Lake Placid in net. Keagan Briggs made 15 saves in the loss for Seton Catholic.

LONG LAKE — Mike Enman scored two of his four goals early in the contest to spur the visiting Panthers on to the win Friday.
Gabe Macey contributed two goals and an assist while Noah Macey and Kolby Pertak also tallied for the Panthers. Dan Groshans was credited with three assists.
Matt Moore and Shane Short accounted for the Indian Lake/Long Lake goals.
Crown Point outshot the hosts 28-15 with Brendon Crowningshield making 6 saves and Joe Foote, 5, while splitting the goaltending.
