Don’t assail or impugn an identifiable individual or group. If you have that kind of criticism, sign your name and submit it as a Letter to the Editor. (There is some leeway on this in connection with public officials, but it is not unconditional.)

Don’t use profanity. This includes the term “tea bagger.”

Don’t be incendiary or tasteless. Those qualities are subjective, of course, and our editors will be the arbiters.

Do not identify yourself in the main content area of the article content form. Only by enforcing this rule can the moderators prevent unscrupulous commenters from falsely identifying themselves as someone they are not.

Don't type in all caps. It is considered the Internet equivalent of shouting.

In sports articles, do not criticize officiating.

Remember, moderators are not allowed to edit any article comments. If an article comment fails any of the above criteria, the entire comment will be deleted.

HFC gives P & M first loss

MALONE — Hometown Family Chiropractic sent Black & Blue Division leader P & M to its first defeat Thursday in the Malone Adult Basketball League.

Craig Dumas and Tim Whipple combined for 48 points and Dumas and Scott Barrett dominated on the boards as HFC posted a 74-64 victory over P & M. Brock Monroe scored 21 points in a losing cause.

PAPAS Dairy closed to within a half game of P & M with a 69-54 victory over Seven & All. Andy Cymbrak scored 24 points and grabbed 16 rebounds while B.J. Cartier collected 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Dairymen. John Tavernier scored 20 points for Seven & All.

Chateaugay Bowl improved to 7-0 in the High Rent District with a 95-80 triumph over HelmHaven Farms. Andrew Vacastine, Tim Barnewall, Nate Bilow and Chris Castine paced the division leaders. Eric Stowell scored 23 and Keith Helm, 20, in a losing cause.

Niles Asset Management remained unbeaten at 7-0 in the Women's Division, defeating Scott Beach Insurance 37-32. Tiffany Braley led the way with 13 points and 14 rebounds while Cristi Laclair also had 14 boards. Gayle Peryea pulled down 16 rebounds and Mandy Dishaw, 15, for Scott Beach.

Jreck Subs defeated Pizza Hut 64-51 to keep pace with Adirondack Energy in the Blue Collar Division. Ed Pritchard scored 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for Jreck Subs. Allen Richards scored 18 points for Pizza Hut.

Jamie Moore was high scorer for the week with 32 points on six 3-pointers as Trim's Lawn Care walloped Brasher Falsl 107-71. Teammate Jarrad Dumont added 26 while Brian Ramsdell netted 22 for Brasher Falls.
