ELIZABETHTOWN — Shonna Brooks scored all seven of her points in a 12-1 third-quarter run Thursday at Elizabethtown-Lewis pulled away from Chazy, 44-36, in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference girls' basketball.
The Lions held a 21-19 advantage at the half and used the big third quarter to go up, 33-20, after three.
The Eagles tallied 16 points in the fourth, but couldn't get any closer than eight points.
Cassie Jones led E'town-Lewis in scoring with 11 points, including seven in the fourth quarter.
Jones, Andrea Le Vien and Brooks all had 10 rebounds, with Brooks also getting four assists and four steals. Kylee Cassavaugh chipped in with five rebounds, six assists and four steals.
Sinead Cooper and Jori Cooper paced Chazy with nine points apiece, all nine of Jori Cooper's points coming in the fourth quarter. Sagan Trombley contributed nine rebounds and five steals.
