SCHROON LAKE — Westport outscored Schroon Lake 27-15 in the second half Friday night to pull away to a 47-31 victory in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference girls' basketball.

Willa McKinley scored 13 points and Christina Sherman added 12 for Westport (2-0). Jocelyn Bowen had a game-high 19 points for Schroon Lake (1-3, 0-2).

INDIAN LAKE — The host Orange shot out to a 15-0 lead after one quarter and had no trouble improving to 4-0 on the season, 2-0 in league play.

Allison Pine scored 17 points to go with 12 rebounds and three assists for Indian/Long Lake. Carli Reynolds chipped in with nine points, 10 rebounds and three assists.

"We handled their pressure really well and got into our offense early," Orange Coach John Reynolds said.

Indian/Long Lake defeated Wells 42-27 Wednesday, using a 15-0 run in the fourth quarter to pull away to the victory.

Murphy Farrell led the way with 16 points, five steals and three assists. Carli Reynolds contributed 15 points with Allison Pine getting eight points and eight rebounds.

The host Eagles (1-1) led all the way and then sealed the issue with a 21-point fourth quarter.

Logan Stephenson led Lake Placid (0-2) with 13 points.
