MALONE — Chateaugay Bowl took advantage of a holiday-shortened schedule to strengthen its hold on first place in the High Rent District of the Malone Adult Basketball League.
Chateaugay Bowl, behind Tim Barnewall's big 40-point game, defeated International Border 85-60 to improve to 5-0.
Pizza Hut fought off Maranatha 67-63 to move to within a half game of Adirondack Energy in the Blue Collar Division.
Niles Management defeated Akwesasne Brass Horse 42-38 to remain a half game ahead of Adirondack Chiropractic, a 38-31 winner over Pretty In Pink in the Women's Division.
There were no games Wednesday through Saturday because of the Thanksgiving break. Play will resume Monday with a full slate of games this week.
