E'town-Lewis boys lose in tourney

NORTH WARREN — Adrian Veldman scored 13 points as Johnsburg jumped out front early and held off the Elizabethtown-Lewis boys 41-37 in the North Warren Tip-Off Tournament Friday.

Johnsburg will face North Warren in today's championship game. North Warren defeated Minerva/Newcomb 50-23.

Ben Richards added 12 points for the Jaguars, and Taylor Ordway scored eight.

Johnsburg held Elizabethtown-Lewis to just two points in the first quarter, but then the Lions scored 18 to pull within one by halftime. The Lions had just five points in the third and couldn't catch the Jaguars.

Hunter Mowery led Elizabethtown-Lewis with 14 points, Evan Drew netted eight and Ben Goff scored seven.
