Don’t assail or impugn an identifiable individual or group. If you have that kind of criticism, sign your name and submit it as a Letter to the Editor. (There is some leeway on this in connection with public officials, but it is not unconditional.)

Don’t use profanity. This includes the term “tea bagger.”

Don’t be incendiary or tasteless. Those qualities are subjective, of course, and our editors will be the arbiters.

Do not identify yourself in the main content area of the article content form. Only by enforcing this rule can the moderators prevent unscrupulous commenters from falsely identifying themselves as someone they are not.

Don't type in all caps. It is considered the Internet equivalent of shouting.

In sports articles, do not criticize officiating.

Remember, moderators are not allowed to edit any article comments. If an article comment fails any of the above criteria, the entire comment will be deleted.

Adirondack Energy cagers win showdown

MALONE — Dave Barnett dropped in 30 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as Adirondack Energy defeated Jreck Subs 74-59 Wednesday in a battle of unbeatens in the Blue

Collar Division of the Malone Adult Basketball League.

Jamie Moore nailed 28 of his game-high 42 points in the first half to spur Trim's Lawn Care on to a 109-47 blowout of previously unbeaten HelmHaven Farms. Kevin Pentalow contributed 39 points and 22 rebounds.

Craig Carriero tallied 32 points and Andre Poirier chipped in with 31 as Cantwell & Cantwell downed International Border 87-79.

Saturday produced a couple of 30-point efforts in the Senior Division. Ed Pritchard netted 32 in the Brasher Vets' 97-43 triumph over Arnie's Rubbish Removal and Waynr Palmer pumped in 32, with 10 3-pointers, as Adirondack Chiropractic topped the Mohawk Express 92-45.

Cristi LaClair scored 15 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to help unbeaten Niles Management Asset stay atop the Women's Division with a 50-25 win over Mr. Bob's.
