QUEENSBURY — The Adirondack Community College men's basketball team defeated Clinton Community College, 76-69, in a game that went to overtime Monday night.
Alex Laschewski scored a game-high 18 for the Timberwolves (4-1), while Kellen Henderson and Stephen Sisson each tallied 16.
"We just had some mental mistakes and some costly turnovers in overtime," Clinton coach Kevin Daugherty said.
The Cougars took a lead in the second half after going down 28-22 at the half. But Adirondack forced overtime and then handed the Cougars their first loss.
"We had another slow start. It's been a characteristic of us so far," Daugherty said.
Anthony Hodge paced Clinton (4-1) with 14 points and Sharief Saunders notched 13, including three 3-pointers.
The Cougars return to action Saturday when they travel to face Cayuga Community College at 2 p.m.
