Mooers hoop registration next week
MOOERS — The Mooers Youth Commission will hold basketball registration Monday, Nov. 9, from 5:30-7 p.m., at Mooers Elementary Gym for girls grades 3-6 and on Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 5:30-7 p.m. for boys grades 3-6. Parents, come in to fill out paperwork and kids, come prepared to play.

Chazy coed hockey to begin Nov. 11
CHAZY — Wednesday night coed hockey players will begin skating Nov. 11, at 9:15 p.m. at the Scotts Memorial Rink. This group is for beginners and intermediate skaters. Cost for 20 weeks is $120 or $10 per night.

Coaches' first-aid course set for Monday
PLATTSBURGH — The Coaches' First-Aid Course required by all high-school coaches in New York State will be offered Monday, at 6 p.m., beginning in Room 306 at Plattsburgh Senior High School off Adirondack Lane. This course will be taught by Mark Donnelly.
No pre-registration is necessary.
Lucky Strike tourney set for Sunday
MALONE — Lucky Strike Lanes will host the North Country Scratch Challenge on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. There will be five games of qualifying and two divisions: 40 and over and 39 and under. One out of three in each division will qualify.

Hockey tourney to benefit girls' team
CHAZY — The Lady Eagle Hockey Men's Hockey Tournment will be held this weekend at Scotts' Memorial Rink in Chazy. The tournament is a fund-raiser for the Chazy girls high school hockey team. It will feature teams from the local and regional area.
Games will be played from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Prizes, including an Adirondack chair and memorabilia from National Hockey League stars, will be raffled off on Sunday at noon.
Shepard, Brunet bowl 300 games
PLATTSBURGH — Travis Shepard, bowling for CB Snow & Yard, bowled a 300 game in the Columbia Classic at North Bowl Lanes Wednesday. Shepard, who carries a 244 average, bowled games of 300, 246 and 247 for a 793 over lanes 19 and 20.
Terry Brunet, representing TJ Mechanical, also hit perfection in the same league Wednesday. Brunet, who has a 213 average, posted games of 183, 300 and 202 for a 685 over lanes 27 and 28.
Connelly bowls 299 in seniors league
PLATTSBURGH — Bill Connelly, bowling for the Barbershoppers in the T.G.I.F. League at North Bowl Lanes last Friday, tossed a 299 game in the middle of a 706 series, leacing a solid 10 pin on his 12th shot. He opened with a 226 game and closed with a 181.
