PLATTSBURGH — Joe Lucarelli extended to his lead Friday in the FLW Stren Series bass tournament on Lake Champlain with a second-day catch of 18 pounds, 3 ounces.
The New Hampshire angler will enter the final day of the Northern Division event with nearly a three-pound lead on Terry Baksay, who moved into second place Friday, jumping 20 places with a catch of 19 pounds, 3 ounces.
Georgian Micah Frazier jumped five places to take over the Co-Angler lead with a two-day total of 34-01. Plattsburgh's Ed Pecore (32-0) and Champlain's Tony Bushey (31-5) stand sixth and seventh, respectively.
The final weigh-in is scheduled for 4 p.m. today at Dock Street landing.
