Mark Trudeau scores 21 points, including 6 in overtime, as Ticonderoga knocks off previously unbeaten PHS 57-49.
Mark Provost, Fred Varin and Thad Drew all pull off upsets as Beekmantown wins its first ever Section VII wrestling championship.

John Corker scores 2 goals to lead Lyon Mountain to a 3-2 win over Fourth Ward for the North Country Hockey League championship.
Larry Chase and Jim Spaulding of Lyon Mountain are the big winners in Rouses Point's snowmobile races.
Steve Ducatte pours in 23 points to lead Beekmantown past Saranac 82-48.
Plattsburgh High's Steve Pavone completes a 12-0 season wrestling at 175 pounds. He records 11 pins and gives up only one point — to Peru's Harry Duprey in an 11-1 decision.
Pat Hogan scores 22 points while Steve Sweeney and Al Daunais drop in 17 apiece as St. Pius beats Westport 72-53 to move into a first-place tie with the Eagles.
Dennis Dupere scores 24 points and Brian Anctil, 15, to lead the Champlain Rockets to an 80-72 win over Ellenburg for the overall CCIL title.
50 YEARS AGO (1960)
Redford sweeps the medals with John Coffey, James Dupraw and Roy Durocher finishing 1-2-3 in Skipper Club racing at Skyline Ski Center.
Bob Way scores 28 points while Pete Keenan and Jerry Hyland chip in with 22 apiece as the Peru Town Team defeats Chateaugay 148-120. Jim Seymour scores 36 for Chateaugay.
Harold Lashway nets 40 and Terry Burnell, 33, to lead the Altona Town Team to a 106-85 win over Gleason's All-Stars of Plattsburgh. Charlie Bechard scores 34 and Bob Stevenson, 28, for the All-Stars.
60 YEARS AGO (1950)
Dale Tucker nips Clevice Fessette to win the boys 14-year-old race-off in the Annual Gold Cup Speed Skating Races at PHS. Bill Flynn (12), Carl Healey and Leo Connick (18), Arlene Barrett (14) and Janice Bombard (16) lead St. John's to the team title. Betty Everest (12), Dale Tucker (14) and Jane Weatherwax (18) are winners for defending champ PHS. Connie Madon (16) is MAI's lone winner.
Clint Inglee scores 22 points while Roy Baker and Dick Gaines add 13 apiece to lead the Rouses Point Blizzards to a 67-42 win over the Plattsburgh Genesees.
Dick Trombley fires in 45 points to lead Chazy past the Genesees 78-64.
70 YEARS AGO (1940)
William "Red" Leonard bowls his first perfect game at Nash Recreation Parlors. Leonard once bowled nearly 100 games in a 14-hour span in 1910 on the Cumberland Hotel alleys in pursuit of a 300 game. Lee Rockwell, Samuel Mendelsohn, Dick Burke, Eddie Cousins, Florence Weaver and Leonard Carr are the only other area bowlers with a perfect game.
