Adirondack Coast Bass Boat debuts
PLATTSBURGH — The Adirondack Coast Visitors & Convention Bureau recently unveiled its latest marketing vehicle, the Adirondack Coast Bass Boat, to promote its world-class bass fishery, Lake Champlain. The Adirondack Coast Bass Boat made its debut on Lake Champlain Thursday in the FLW American Fishing Series.
Derrick Martineau, a pro bass angler from Ausable Forks, will be driving his 2008 Ranger Bass Boat emblazed with "the Adirondack Coast - Lake Champlain in the Adirondacks."
Peru football camp moved to school
PERU — The Peru Indians Youth Football Camp to be held July 19-22, from 9 a.m. to noon, will take place at the Peru Central School football complex on the main campus. This is a change from the original location of Sullivan Park as indicated in the camp brochure.
Openings are still available and walk-up registrants are welcome.
Bowl Mart doubles tourney tonight
ROUSES POINT — Bowl Mart Lanes will hold a doubles tournament, beginning at 7:30 p.m. today. The cost is $20 per person.

Football officials looking for candidates
PLATTSBURGH — The Champlain Chapter of Certified Football Officials is seeking new members for the 2010 season. Meetings and candidates' school will begin the first week of August.
Soccer camp open sign-up Sunday
PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh Soccer camp still has openings for its camp starting Monday July 19 at the base oval. The camp, for boys and girls ages 6-17, will run July 19-23, from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., each day. There will also be goalkeeper training.
The cost is $90 and each athlete receives a ball and a t-shirt. An open registration session will be held Sunday, from 3-6 p.m., at the base oval.

Saranac sports reviews approaching
SARANAC — The Saranac Central School District has scheduled sports reviews for all students intending to play a fall sport.
Students must bring a completed preseason sports questionnaire (NCR form) that has been signed by the student and his or her parent. A student must have a sports review prior to attending his or her first practice. NCR forms can be picked up at any of the Saranac schools or at the district office.
If any student is unable to attend the scheduled review time, or if there are additional questions, call the high school main office at 565-6800.

Preseason hockey training offered
LAKE PLACID — Tri-Lakes preseason hockey training sessions for boys grades 7-12 will be held every Sunday, from Aug. 15-Oct. 17, in Lake Placid. The sessions will be in early evening and include 45 minutes of off-ice training and one hour of on-ice training.
The cost is $65 for five sessions, or $120 for all 10 sessions. Keith Clark and Will Ellsworth, instructors with extensive playing and coaching experience, will lead the staff, along with Dino Angelopolous, trainer at Lake Placid Sports Medicine.

Run For Jon set for Aug. 28
PERU — The 20th-Annual Run For Jon will be held Saturday, Aug. 28 at Forrence Orchards off the Mannix Road. There will be three separate events and three separate start times. The non-competitive 1.2 mile walk will begin at 5 p.m., a kids' fun run at 5:30 p.m. and the Run For Jon at 5:45 p.m.
