CLINTONVILLE — Madison Rondeau allowed just three hits and struck out 11 to help lead AuSable Valley over Northeastern Clinton, 8-7, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference softball Monday.
The Cougars jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the first inning and held a 7-3 lead after five. But, the Patriots scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, led by Patty Ryan's two-RBI triple, for the come-back victory.
Logan Snow led the way for AuSable Valley (7-5) with two hits. Alexis Facteau chipped in with a double.
Michaela McDonough paced Northeastern Clinton (2-8) with two hits.
Jennifer Favro went the distance in taking the loss.

TICONDEROGA — The Hornets took advantage of eight Sentinel errors for an upset victory.
Jamie Bedard went the distance in the pitching circle for Plattsburgh High (7-5).
Kolbi Lyon went 4-for-4 at the plate with a double and Maddy Trombley also doubled for the Hornets, who held a 5-2 lead after four innings and added three important runs in the fifth.
The Sentinels (9-3), ranked 20th in Class C, pulled to within two with four runs in the fifth but could get no closer. They committed eight errors that allowed four unearned runs.
Andrea Rich went 3-for-4 with a double for Ticonderoga. Megan Campney also doubled and had a single. Katie Palandrani homered and Kiley Austin added a triple. Jordan McKee took the loss.

PORT HENRY — Lindsay Brace struck out 10 batters in leading the Vikings over the Eagles.
Brace and Symantha Wright each finished with a hit to pace Moriah (3-8).
Aleasha Barcomb struck out seven and allowed just two hits for Beekmantown (1-11).
Emily Raville, Sarah Downey and Asia Harris-Relation had the lone hits for the Eagles.

ELLENBURG — Kelly Neenan allowed just three hits in a complete-game pitching effort for the 21st-ranked Indians.
Brianna Padron and Shannon Bombard each hit a triple for Peru (10-2), while Taylor Rock doubled and Alexis McKee singled twice.
Autumn Rabideau doubled and singled for Northern Adirondack (0-9) and Darbi Rabideau hit a double. Michaela Manor started and took the loss.

LAKE PLACID — Kourtnie Campbell struck out six and allowed just one hit to lead the Chiefs over the Blue Bombers.
With the win, Saranac (13-1) clinched the Division I regular season title.
Alisha Ducatte, Ashley Terry and Olivia Furnia all delivered two hits for the 12th-ranked Chiefs. Furnia belted a triple while Ducatte cracked a double.
Brooke Reid, who suffered the loss on the pitcher's mound, had the lone hit of the game for Lake Placid (3-5).
