PLATTSBURGH — Tyler Mesec and Mike Bergman combined on a two-hitter Friday night as the Meron's Expos defeated the Adirondack Wild, 7-2, in a non-league men's baseball game at Lefty Wilson Field.
Mesec struck out five and allowed one run in going the first five innings and Bergman surrendered one run over the final two in a game using wooden bats.
Nick Lamica led the Expos with a double and triple. Billy Davis added a RBI double, while Bergman and Pat Shaughnessy chipped in with singles.
The same two teams go at it again today, beginning at 11 a.m., in a doubleheader at Wilson Field.
Meron's then plays the Clinton County Mariners later in the day at 5 p.m.
