BEEKMANTOWN — The Beekmantown Eagles clinched at least a tie for the regular-season championship in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference volleyball Thursday night with a 3-0 victory over the Peru Indians on Senior Night.
Beekmantown won 25-21, 25-6, 25-10 to improve to 14-1 with one match remaining.
Seniors Brittany Lapham (13 points, 5 aces, 4 kills, 10 digs, 26 assists), Kelsey Barnes (13 digs), Erin Munro (3 kills, 3 digs) and Lauren Gonyea (7 points, 2 aces) led the Eagles to victory.

PLATTSBURGH — Senior Kailyn LaRose served eight points to close out the first game and send Plattsburgh High on to a sweep of Saranac Lake on Senior Night for the Hornets. PHS (12-2) won 25-10, 25-12, 25-10.
LaRose finished with 10 points, six aces, four kills and six digs. Classmates Brittany Bracale (6 points, 3 aces, 25 assists), Ashley Menard (8 digs) and Jenny Phillips (5 points, 4 kills, 6 digs) also saw considerable action for PHS.
